Facelift is considered to be the shining beacon of hope for people who want to bring back the youthful glow of the skin and relieve the tell-tale signs of skin aging. The process involves taking away the fine lines, wrinkles, and depressions on the skin of the face that make the skin look older. Dr. Barnouti is our highly trained and very popular cosmetologist who performs safe and effective facelifts without the worry of looking like you actually had a facelift.
His operations yield very natural results, you’ll feel like you just took a dip into the fountain of youth and came out radiant and glowing as youth itself. Depending on the health status of the client, facelifts are done individually, and it is customized to meet your unique cosmetic needs. The method of procedure also depends on what the clients want the results to look like. You will be oriented with the benefits and risks of the procedure during your initial consultation with Dr. Barnouti.
A facelift can improve otherwise permanent signs of aging such as:
- Sagging skin of the jowls
- Loose skin that has unfortunately sagged from the face, giving you a tired, older look
- Sagging skin and fatty tissues on the neck and chin
- Laugh lines, wrinkles, and crows’ feet
Basically, with the majority of facelift-related procedures that are performed in clinics today, an incision is made on the hair line. It starts above the temple and then continues on until it reaches the mastoid muscle behind the ear. This method of incision facilitates easier tightening of the underlying tissues, and it also helps to remove excess skin and fat. If necessary, another incision is made under the chin. Dr. Barnouti will have to assess if your skin is still in good condition or if there is little need for a facelift. This aspect will also determine the size of the incision.
Of course, after the surgery, you will have to expect bruising and minimal swelling on the incision site which will last from 2-3 weeks. Remarkable results appear in less than two months. Since the skin on the face is somehow thinner than that of the rest of the body, try to bear in mind that your scars will heal and refine into a faint, barely visible mark in a year.
